About Us

In 2007, the fondest ambition of Dr. Myrna M. Profeta and Engr. Nestor M. Japis who believe in the importance of having youth Marinduqueno organization in Metro Manila was fulfilled when Mr. Romeo A. Mataac, Jr. together with his co-founders opened the Samahan ng mga Kabataang Marinduqueno in Rizal Technological University, Mandaluyong City. Seventeen (17) pioneering young men and women from different towns of Marinduque met to create the organization. They were:

  • Ms. April Ronshell Ricamara (Sta. Cruz)
  • Mr. Jeffery R. Ituralde (Sta. Cruz)
  • Ms. Rabe M. Lorena (Sta. Cruz)
  • Mr. John Paul Amadeo, Jr. (Sta. Cruz)
  • Mr. Argel Joseph Ituralde (Sta. Cruz)
  • Mr. Jefferson A. Pastorfide (Sta. Cruz)
  • Mr. Jimboy P. Pizarra (Sta. Cruz)
  • Ms. Danica P. Constantino (Torrijos)
  • Mr. Ronald Allan Pedrigal (Sta. Cruz)
  • Mr. Robert R. Mabunga (Sta. Cruz)
  • Ms. Kristine Joy R. Valencia (Torrijos)
  • Ms. Mellisa P. Ogbac (Torrijos)
  • Ms. Roselyn Saludo (Boac)

In a meeting on September 5, 2007 at Rm. 103 Old Building, RTU-Boni Avenue, Mandaluyong City, the 1st Set of Officers were elected. The officers were as follow:

Mr. Argel Joseph R. Ituralde : Vice President
Ms. Belly Jane M. Cruzado : Secretary
Ms. Rochelle R. Monterey : Treasurer
Mr. Jefferson A. Pastorfide : Auditor
Mr. Ronald Allan R. Pedrigal : Business Manager
Ms. Kristine Joy R. Valencia : Public Relation Officer
Mr. Leother A. Romasanta : Torrijos Representative
Mr. Jimboy P. Pizarra : Sta. Cruz Representative

At present, because of its optimistic outlook and good aspirations, the members grew in number.

In June 2009, the SAKAMAR opened its new chapter in Marinduque State College thru the perseverance of Mr. Darriel P. Oblipias.

Today the organization is recognized by various sectors such as Club Marinduqueño Inc, Government of Marinduque, the Rizal Technological University, Mandaluyong Central Student Council, among others.
