Mission
Samahan ng mga Kabataang Marinduqueno (SAKAMAR) is youth organization solely committed to provide among its members and constituents, the spirit of home environment where one forms a vital role in building harmonious atmosphere, camaraderie, friendship and service towards every Marinduqueno youth through the creation of its simple, yet beneficial and meaningful projects.
Vision
Samahan ng mga Kabataang Marinduqueno (SAKAMAR) envisions itself as a stable youth organization not only in the premises of Rizal Technological University (RTU) but as well in the campuses of various colleges, universities and other educational institutions throughout the country as a financially equipped entity, to handle its multi-humanitarian, social-civic functions and academic-related projects. SAKAMAR further envisages to being a pilot and leading Marinduque youth organization with a nationwide scope. It is considered a unique organization whose members are indeed, the Pride of Marinduque.
Objectives
SAKAMAR has been organized to provide first and foremost the following objectives:
• To unite various interests of Marinduque youth studying in RTU towards achieving their moral, intellectual developments and obligations thus, safeguarding the same from any stumbling block that may hinder every member’s educational pursuit and success;
• To promote friendship, camaraderie and fellowship amongst its members;
• To assist every members in whatever academic and other minor shortcomings that may arise at any given time;
• To further develop service efforts, impel social awareness and promote issues of national consciousness and great importance among others;
• To help and/or assist the Provincial Government of Marinduque in promoting and promulgating its various socio-economic-developmental programs, cultures and traditions and;
• To utilize every member’s talents, expertise and resources in planning and implementing the noble objectives and activities of Samahan ng mga Kabataang Marinduqueno.
Official Logo
The logo of SAKAMAR was conceptualized by Mr. Argel Joseph R. Ituralde and drafted by Ms. Myra Lydia M. Profeta.
The six faces symbolize the 6 municipalities of Marinduque namely Boac, Buenvista, Gasan, Mogpog, Sta. Cruz, and Torrijos which continuously link together in the essence of camaraderie and unity.
The Map of the Marinduque dominates the image of “Morion” which signifies the festival celebrated in the province, “The Moriones Festival”.
